From the article: Police listed his address as the “streets of Key West.” Also, that mugshot.

That's too bad about Tolesy. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but an endearing guy.
I read he was sleeping behind an airport. What went wrong with him? Sounds like a lot of issues.

Here is hoping a 60 game season acts as a warm up act for Giolito.

I was in the car today and the Score 670 talked about this topic for a solid 30 minutes. It is amazing how getting rid of his slider made such a difference, my take at least.

Yeah, he's had anxiety issues as far back as 2015, when the Rays released him for disciplinary reasons, and then Friedman picked Toles up because of his familiarity with the Rays. Toles played well enough to be the leftfielder during the 2016 postseason (which hastened Howie Kendrick's departure) and early 2017 season, but then he tore his ACL running down a fly ball in May.He returned to play in late-2018, but then his issues resurfaced before Spring 2019, and he was put on personal leave.

Who knows, really. It's possible that the team offered him help, but he may not have wanted help, and the team may not have wanted to publicize that they offered help out of respect.

You were right. A new article came out today from his family. Sounds like he did get help but his spiral was bad.

Why...would you admit this? It's like you WANT the players to file that grievance that you tried so hard to get them to waive their rights to.

The 2020 season will be played by a bunch of minor leaguers who can't afford to take the year off.

So Mahomes gets a 10 year extension worth $503 mil. Almost looks like a baseball deal except the Chiefs won't be regretting this by year 8.

Don't be so sure. Ryan Howard got a massive extension even though he had 2 years left on his original deal, and then before the extension even took effect, he tore his vagina running out of the batter's box after grounding into the final out of the 2011 NLDS vs the Cardinals.

Those Phillies teams sweeping the Dodgers in 2008-09, only to roll over for the fucking Giants and the fucking Cardinals in subsequent years, just represents all my cynical rage at this sport.

Although I am in good spirits today. Sox opening day is on my wedding anniversary so the wife is excited which makes the night easier to plan which in turn makes me excited.

Twins - Sox 7:10p, airing on my backyard TV.
