Well, his Edmonton years can be thrown out a window. They screwed everyone up, and the losing got to him. Since he joined the Pens, he's been pretty much a top 4 D-man. He only had 18 regular season games when he came here, and the playoffs he did a lot of "off sheet" stuff, like clearing the puck, getting it to the wingers.

I wish they had good stats for hockey. Hockey is definitely one of the hardest to quantify sports, and the tools we have to do it are worse than football.

Yep I can see that. To me it doesn't make sense we didn't sign Gagner based on his stats, but there's so much more to it than that. I'm sure JR knows what he's doing
