Default 2017 quarterback power rankings!

yes i never finish this! but who cares, it kills time for me. and it gives everyone a good laugh as to how bad some of the starting quarterbacks in the league are. i reserve the right to edit trevor siemian and sham badford tomorrow morning based on how horrible they are tonight.

for those unfamiliar, i only do current starters... thus no luck, no rookies who havent thrown a pass, no brett favre or dan marino who would still probably be better than 15 starters in the league, no johnny manziel who would be number 1 forever and ever

so... yea. thats the highest alex smith has ever been, and probably ever will be. but ill give him his props for beating new england in foxboro, and being far and away statistically the best quarterback in week 1.

im not a guy who makes big decisions based off one week. im not ready to get rid of eli manning just yet, despite how horrid he looked last night. and im not ready to anoint jared goff, despite how good he looked against a bad indy team. but they both get moved in proper directions based on yesterday.

lets see how long i can last this year on it.

yea i am a big wentz fan. i usually raise and turn on the young guys pretty quick after a good or shitty performance though. jameis is my favorite to move around... he goes from top 10 to bottom 7 back and forth all the time.

i put the edits in to move up siemian and sham badford for good performances last night. i left brees and rivers where they were... brees was alarmingly mediocre, but that minnesota d is nice, and hes still drew brees. so ill give him the benefit of the doubt for one week, because im too lazy to edit around the entire list.

He trips me out throwing from his tip-toes and looking like he is throwing downfield but suddenly the ball shoots to the flat/out.

Mediocre for Drew Brees is 291, 1 TD and 0 INTs.

Why can't we all have mediocre?

Brees does have the advantage of putting up tons of passing yards cause their defense sucks, and NO always needs more points

toms back. hes great. it was against new orleans, who cares, hes tom. matty ice with an efficient game against rodgers, so he can move in front of him. alex smith still rising, as does siemian. i dont expect it to last, but hey, theyre playing good football.

dak, cam and eli still trending backwards, so they got dropped a ton. and pretty much everyone from tyrod down is a total bum until proven otherwise.

i feel it fair to say, unless he wins a game, josh mccown will never move from 32. it doesnt matter what everyone below him does. if i have to sit through every play of this shitty team, mccown, hackenberg, doesnt matter... theyre 32. petty may get some leeway, since i almost kinda like him.
