They were perennial losers before him so if I was ownership I wouldn't be quick to remove him for 2 below par seasons in a row. They were successful for several seasons before that

0-7 in the playoffs. just good enough to not get a game changer, just bad enough to remain irrelevant. he's not the worst coach, but sometimes a team just needs a change of culture. and if any franchise needs the culture change, cincys near the top.

But that doesn't mean anything. The NFL doesn't rely on tradition at all, unless I guess you figure in stuff like Earl Thomas wanting to be a Cowboy

side note, Iím surprised vance joseph survived a 5-11 season but I think he will have a better chance to prove himself with much of his own staff next year
